Theo’s cooking first came to light during Masterchef 2014 when he reached the heats of the semi-finals and started to gain recognition as championing modern Greek cooking. Besides Masterchef, Theo has appeared on BBC Breakfast News, Sky TV and The Food Networks’ The Big Eat with Lisa Faulkner and Matt Tebbut. He’s occassionally spotted on stage at the odd food festival as well. Theo’s YouTube Channel is featured on Womans Own and Best Magazine website. He is a frequent guest on BBC Radio’s Weekend Kitchen with Nick Coffer and made it in the Best Of 2014 Recipes from the show. Theo runs a monthly popup restaurant seating 40 people, usually serving 8 courses and when guests can’t get a table he hosts private dining parties at peoples homes. Theo Michaels was born in London, has lived in America for five years and eaten his way through a lot of the globe with a backpack. He is now married with two children and no way will his wife backpack again.
